PORTLAND, Ore. -- It's happened across the country -- traffic signs getting hijacked by computer hackers, and now it's happened in Portland.
A contractor’s traffic sign on the Powell just east of the Ross Island Bridge overnight Wednesday read “Caution zombie strippers."
The sign had been switched off by Thursday morning.

you have to be really careful if you vandalize one of those vms/ ftms signs. it can be pretty dangerous if you're messing with a lane closure/ detour sign, especially if it's at night when most roadway construction occurs or if it's the only vms on the job. it can be pretty hazardous to construction workers, contractors, and engineers. not to mention it screws with traffic.
that said, hilarious under the right circumstances, and pretty simple to do until the dots started to wise up and change the default passwords on the signs. i'm suprised that someone was still able to do it.
