VISAGES VILLAGES (FACES PLACES) dir. Agnès Varda and JR (2017)

a miraculous celebration of truly populist pop-art, direct action to unite and inspire people, while listening to their stories and learning about their lives as well.  the way the French working class are curious and delighted to be interviewed and photographed, and have profound things to say about their life and art itself made this film more triumphant to me than any sports film. As Scott said, see it if the dark days are getting you down.  (On Netflix now.)
